Aspiring Enterprises imports pulleys into New Zealand from Single Rope Technique Equipment (SRTE) in Australia, Climbing Technology (CT) in the UK, Seattle Manufacturing Corporation (SMC) in the USA, and International Safety Components (ISC)in Wales. SRTE manufactures a large range of pulleys to suit any situation, of which we stock only a few of the most useful examples. Climbing Technology has only one pulley on the market at this stage. SMC manufactures various types of pulley, but most notably the prusik-minding (PMP) pulleys. ISC manufactures a small range of products for various applications. Double-pulley systems which create a 4:1 mechanical advantage system are becoming popular in the form of a "jigger", which is a 4:1 mechanical advantage system using two double pulleys and a short length of rope. The square end ensures that a prusik sling being used for load-capturing will block against the pulley, enabling the load to be hauled without supervision by a rescuer.
