Gun-Drill Bushings are used on gun-drilling machines, such as Eldorado, Drillmation, DeHoff, and Lahr. These bushings are similar to SF renewable bushings, except reversed, with the drill bearing at the bushing's head end, which contacts the workpiece. Gun-Drill Bushings are available in a choice of one-piece construction or two-piece construction (a liner and an insert).
One-piece Gun-Drill Bushings offer maximum accuracy and faster installation. One Gun-Drill Bushing is required for each gun-drill size. The Eldorado type shown here has a standard 1/16" extension beyond the head, to contact the workpiece.

1144 Stressproof steel, heat treated to achieve Rc 62-64 ID hardness. Other materials readily available by special order (see Specials).

All American(r) Drill Bushing Tips provide a fast, accurate method for portable/stationary mounting of drilling, tapping and other self-contained machining units on a jig/fixture. The threaded end of the drill bushing tip screws into the nose end of the drilling unit. The helical flanges on the tip fit under the shoulders of the lock screws/lock strips on the jig, effectively holding the drilling unit in alignment position and absorbing drilling thrust and torque.
All American(r) Drill Bushing Tips are finished to order to the drill size specified by the user. They are available for applications from No. 70 drill up through 1-15/32" diameter.

Chip clearance hole prevents jam-up of chips. Chips work back into the nose piece and out slots in sides of nose piece.
