Systems of this type are designed to move high volumes of materials vertically through a facility. Payloads up to 60 pounds are loaded into fiberglass boxes (trays) and carried by the SVC up or down to their destinations. Multiple trays can be loaded and in transit simultaneously providing a tremendous throughput capacity. Belt conveyors are utilized to move trays horizontally between the SVC and remote locations or between multiple SVC's.Primary applications include the movement of mail from/to the mail room in a multi-story office tower; books within a multi-story library or attorneys' office and bulk medical supplies through a multi-story hospital.
