The 500 Series Overhead Conveyor uses Fixtures attached to INTELLITRAK Carriers that are conveyed automatically between different areas. The driven sections of the system consist of Carriers that ride on the Load Rail , and a Drive Beam that has a Drive Tube attached to it via Bearing Assemblies . Driven Curves allow for horizontal direction change.The Drive Tube propels the Carriers via skewed wheels mounted to the Carriers which are in turn spring loaded against the Drive Tube. Reversing the rotation of the Drive Tube reverses the direction of the Carrier. Flow direction changes are achieved through Switches that transfer the Carriers from one conveyor line to another.
